The Secretary of State for Administrative Reform was and established in July 2007 under the Ministry of State Administration and Territorial Management.

Competencies

* Implement of the department’s policy
* Ensure the relationship between the government and all organs of state
* Other tasks assigned by the legal department

Programs

* Fight Corruption in Government
* Implementation of the principle of good governance and public participation in political decisions
* Review of the Public Employee Recruitment System
* Civil Service Training
* Review of Laws

Programs Implemented

* Scholarships: 41 permanent civil servants trained abroad (Indonesia) with the following details:

A. Masters Program:

  • University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta: 11 people
  • University of Brawijaya, Malang: 12 people
  • Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga: 2 people
  • Higher Education for Public Administration, Jakarta: 8 people

B. Bachelor’s Programs:

  • Higher Education for Public Administration, Jakarta: 7 people
  • University of Udayana, Denpasar: 1 person

* Training / workshop for officials of state and community leaders:

  • Workshop on the Revision of Suco Election Law
  • Course in Protocol Management

* Establishment Administrative Science College Education:

This is in process (The College Education Statue has been completed, as has the Establishemnt Commission)
